Timothy R. Roberts, Founder and President

Tim_RobertsTim Roberts is one of the leading authorities in the field of industrial and construction safety. He is founder and president of Safety Alliance LLC., a West Chester, Ohio based safety consulting firm providing local, national and international services. The firm specializes in providing written programs, site observations and training. Mr. Roberts is also the founder and past president of the Greater Cincinnati Area & N. Kentucky safety council and the Warren County safety councils. Mr. Roberts expertise includes over 35 years safety experience and 15 years in disaster management with the American Red Cross. Mr. Roberts is authorized to teach the OSHA Training Institute “Trainer” courses as well as the OSHA 10 and 30 hour classes and other specific training courses such as Confined Space, Lockout, Behavior and Defensive Driving.

Tamara McCanty, Safety Engineer

Tamara McCantyTamara McCanty has worked with Safety Alliance for more than seven years. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, McCanty earned a degree in safety engineering. McCanty has served companies in both general industry and construction, addressing a variety of safety related issues. Her areas of expertise include extensive experience in the creation of company safety manuals, written training programs and with a current focus on assisting companies in meeting the requirements of the OSHA VPP program. She is also an authorized trainer for the OSHA outreach training programs. McCanty has done training in site emergency response and fire fighting, incident command issues, asbestos compliance, and hazardous materials.

James E. Washam, Former OSHA

James_WashamMr. Jim Washam is a 27-year veteran of OSHA. Last serving as OSHA’s Region V Machine Guarding and Lockout Coordinator, Washam was responsible for developing and conducting machine safety training classes for industry groups, associations and Region V compliance officers. Part of his work included training OSHA compliance officers in documenting case file evidence regarding OSHA standards. Additionally, Washam conducted training seminars on the latest advancements and technologies in safeguarding, automated production equipment and applicable consensus standards.

Jeff Whitaker

Jeff has been in the industrial, construction aJW - Safety Alliance (2)nd municipality safety arenas for over 20 years. He has assisted construction companies,   tower climbers, steel erectors, bridge builders, roofers, municipalities, factories, and utilities around the country with basic safety awareness training, which includes  his specialties in fall protection and confined space.

John Denton, Former OSHA

john_dentonJohn Denton is a veteran of OSHA and the Dept. of Energy. Denton earned a degree in safety & environmental management, a graduate of Indiana State University. Part of his work included training OSHA compliance officers, accident investigations and site inspections.

John Sayne

john_sayneJohn Sayne has over 46 years of extensive experience in the electrical field, working as an electrician, foreman, superintendent and project manager.  Mr. Sayne has in-depth commercial and industrial construction background. John holds a state of Ohio electrical contractor license, with a license in Columbus, Ohio. He is also a Licensed Master Electrician in Indianapolis and Kentucky. John is chairman of several national electrical committees.

Billy Ring, Former Fire Chief

billy_ringBilly Ring retired from City of Miamisburg, Ohio Fire Department after 27 years of service. Served as: Captain, Certified Paramedic,Training Officer and Hazardous Materials Team Leader. Retired from Dayton Regional Hazardous Materials Response Team as HAZMAT Coordinator, 5 years of service. Served as executive director of Dayton-Miami Valley Safety Council, Adjunct Faculty: Mid-America OSHA Education Center, a consortium between Sinclair Community College (Dayton) and Ohio Valley Construction Education Foundation. Mr. Ring attended the Ohio Fire Academy, specializing in Leadership I, II & III, HAZMAT Technician (HAZWOPER), Awareness Level, Operations Level and HAZMAT Incident Commander. Associate Professor, Wright State University, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Environmental Health 368 (Hazwoper) and Environmental Health 401 (Hazwoper Refresher).

Amy Keen

Amy Keen is a Spanish instructor with fifteen years experience teaching at Miami University, University of Dayton and Sinclair Community College. Amy obtained a BA in Spanish from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana and a MA in Spanish from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. As well as having studied Spanish, she minored in French and German. Outside of the classroom, she has lived and traveled extensively in Mexico and Costa Rica. Amy has worked with Safety Alliance for several years, teaching/translating the OSHA safety regulations into Spanish. Both in construction and general industry (manufacturing).
