Tamara McCanty - Safety Engineer

Tamara McCanty has worked with Safety Alliance for more than twenty years. A graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, McCanty earned a degree in safety engineering. McCanty has served companies in both general industry and construction, addressing a variety of safety related issues. Her areas of expertise include extensive experience in the creation of company safety manuals, written training programs and with a current focus on assisting companies in meeting the requirements of the OSHA VPP program. She is also an authorized trainer for the OSHA outreach training programs. McCanty has done training in site emergency response and fire fighting, incident command issues, asbestos compliance, and hazardous materials.
